In 2016, Malling Living Studio was founded – Danish designed furniture and interiors with a focus on high quality, durability and Nordic, timeless details. The foundation for Malling Living Studio was laid when founder Rikke Malling ran the gourmet restaurant Malling & Schmidt and the restaurant Nordisk Spisehus together with her husband Thorsten Schmidt. At both places, Rikke had the crucial role in the interior design of the restaurants, and most of the interiors were specially designed by Rikke herself to match the atmosphere and expression the couple wanted to achieve. Over the years, Malling Living Studio has specially manufactured separate products that have made life easier for employees in the catering and hospitality industry and the view more aesthetic for visitors. The popular Bar Glass is just one of the products added during the development of the interior for the Barr restaurant in central Copenhagen.
